Citv 30th Anniversary by GregTOON07 Citv 30th Anniversary by GregTOON07
A very late tribute art to celebrate my favourite kids programming block (then to channel) CITV for the last 30 years

showing one of the best cartoons, puppets, live dramas, comedys and gameshows as we were kids through out the years
Sure there's alot of good and bad shows that we all remember but I've chosen one of my favourites to be showing on this art, some you know well some you never even heard of, so for anyone who live in the UK here a small tribute from our childhood.

Left to right
Sooty & Co Big Bang How 2 Count Duckula DangerMouse Rubbish king of the Jumble Grizzly tale for gruesome kids Old Bear Stories

The HotRod Dogs and Cool Car Cats FoxBusters Bernard's watch Woof! Wizadora Rosie and Jim

The Dreamstone The legends of Treasure Island Mike and Angelo Fraggle Rock Dr Zitbag's Transylvania PetShop Huxley Pig

Bimble's Bucket ReBoot Where's Wally?

Avenger Penguins ZZZAP! The RottonTolls Knightmare Twisted tales of Felix the cat Rupert Preston Pig Mopatop's Shop

Art Attack Butt Ugly Martians FantomCat Astro Farm Rainbow Funhouse

All belong to their original owners but they're once or still are (c) CITV

Some of these shows I used to watch include Sooty & Co., Grizzly Tales for Gruesome Kids, Old Bear, Bernard's Watch, Wizardora, Rosie and Jim, Huxley Pig, Where's Wally (sort of), ZZZAP!, Rupert, Preston Pig (which I barely remember), Mopatop's Shop, Art Attack, Astro Farm and Funhouse. Good times!

Wow, amazing! I'm amazed that you picked Butt-Ugly Martians, that was my generation, I used to watch it but how obscure!

The show that was always legendary to me was Eliminator! It was 2003-4, which to me is old because it was still in the in-vision era and I was 10 when it started. I loved shows that didn't talk down to me as a kid. I was very into Power Rangers Time Force, which irritatingly GMTV showed 12 episodes of then dropped, and mum let me watch it but a couple of times when I was watching the videos she thought it sounded a bit scary and one time she wondered what I was watching because there was a bit of a sad story. I loved it!

I don't think I really watched CBBC much, then in 2001 I started turning over after CiTV finished, then when CBBC made this show called Powers I turned over for that, I don't think CiTV were showing anything that interested me on that day. Nowadays I probably watch more CBBC if I watch either of them, funny how times change! On the day when CiTV lost presenters I was so disappointed. I kept thinking for months they'd suddenly surprise us with presenters! I wish I'd taped a lot more. It wasn't until 04 that I started taping things.

Sadly I only remember Scratchy & Co and Mashed and the other Morning shows I didn't watch or never heard of but SMTV Live is great too.

Indeed I do remember the other live action kid show except for Grotbags.
